January drags on and the winter blues kick in full force. Here are some time-tested tips to rejuvenate your energy and joy as we enter the final days of the month. The holiday season is over. It’s cold outside. It gets dark early. There is still a long stretch of winter ahead.
If you’re anything like me, it can be easy to let this season just drag you down mentally and emotionally. It’s important to be intentional about finding ways to schedule joy in your day.
Maybe it’s as simple as putting on a warm soup in the crock pot for your family to enjoy together that evening. Or perhaps making an extra batch to deliver to your neighbors. I have learned the act of serving others is the best way to bring joy into my own life.

Whatever it is, be intentional about taking the time to be joyful in the little things this season. Our culture glorifies the hustle mentality, but I promise that a heart and mind that is rested and joyful will be more productive in an hour than a burned out soul will in a day.
